Since 1981, Pinocchio Kindergarten has nurtured young minds through hands-on experiences and nature-based education, inspired by Friedrich Froebel’s philosophy. Our commitment to environmental awareness and experiential learning has earned prestigious recognition.

We were honored with the Asahi Forest Culture Award in the Nature Conservation category for instilling a deep respect for nature in our students. Our innovative program, From Nature Education to Environmental Education, won the Yomiuri Education Award, highlighting our dedication to sustainability.

Pinocchio Kindergarten has been featured on NHK Educational TV in the national program Life Shines on Earth, showcasing our environmental education. Additionally, NHK TV’s Kanto region program introduced our collaboration between nursing home day service users and children, highlighting the timeless tradition of spinning silk threads together.

We also received the Encouragement Award from the Japan Sericulture Association for our hands-on silkworm learning initiative, allowing children to engage in the fascinating process of sericulture.
